Evanston Board Dollar Letter

The Evanston Women’s Board is Settlement’s oldest auxiliary, founded in 1909.  An intergenerational group, its primary fundraiser is the annual Dollar Letter, which has provided millions in unrestricted funds for Settlement since 1912.  The Dollar Letter is mailed each October to friends, family, and colleagues of Evanston Board members.

This year, the Dollar Letter highlights the rainbow of services provided to neighbors by the Settlement.  If you have gotten a Dollar Letter in the mail and would like to give online, please click the Donate Now button to the left and notate your gift  'In Honor of The Evanston Women’s Board.'

To learn more about the Evanston Board, which welcomes new members, email ewbnush@yahoo.com

This picture was created by children in the After School Program at the Northwestern Settlement House.  School Age programming is offered year-round and serves approximately 200 children ages 3 to 12. Through the School Age Program, the Settlement House seeks to counter some of the problems that occur in the lives of our youth by focusing on the positive building blocks young people need to navigate successfully through childhood and adolescence. The program was developed by looking at the needs of the children in our area and

working to solve those challenges in the best way possible.

The success of Settlement programs depends on the financial contributions of many individuals, businesses, and organizations.  Supporters may donate to the Northwestern University Settlement Association online through the Events.org site.
